Champorado

Ingredient
  1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup glutinous sweet rice
  1/2 cup sugar
3 cup water
1 cup coconut milk
condensed milk (optional)

 

Procedure

  1. Combine the sweet rice, water and coconut milk in a pot, bring to a boil for 10 minutes,  stirring occasionally to keep the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  2. Stir in the cocoa powder and sugar  into the rice. Reduce heat to low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender, about 15 minutes more. Remove from heat.
  3. Serve hot with a swirl of condensed milk on top.
