Paksiw na Pata

2 | pound | Pork leg (pata), sliced crosswise |
1 | tablespoon | garlic, minced |
1/2 | cup | soy sauce |
1/4 | tablespoon | vinegar |
1/4 | cup | brown sugar |
1 | pack | dried banana blossoms (50grams), soaked in water |
5 | pieces | dried bay leaf |
1 | tablespoon | pepper corn |
4 | cup | water |
Procedure
- Put the water in a pot, bring to boil
- Add whole pepper corn, bay leaf, soy sauce and garlic then bring the mixture boil.
- Put-in the pork and simmer for 1 – 1.5 hours (if using pressure cooker simmer for 30 minutes)
- Add vinegar and simmer for 10 minutes
- Add banana blossom and simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
- Add sugar and salt, simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
