Paksiw na pata

 

Ingredient
2 pound Pork leg (pata), sliced crosswise
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 pack dried banana blossoms (50grams), soaked in water
5 pieces dried bay leaf
1 tablespoon pepper corn
 4  cup water

 

Procedure

  1. Put the water in a pot, bring to boil
  2. Add whole pepper corn, bay leaf, soy sauce and garlic then bring the mixture boil.
  3. Put-in the pork and simmer for 1 – 1.5  hours (if using pressure cooker simmer for 30 minutes)
  4. Add vinegar and simmer for 10 minutes
  5. Add banana blossom and simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
  6. Add sugar and salt, simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
